Hi, my name is Shane Davis.  I started Red Letters Ministries to introduce, encourage and coach others to establish and enhance their walk with Jesus Christ.  I am a follower of Christ, husband, father, son, brother, and friend.  I have been married to my wonderful wife, Catherine, for over 24 years.  We have two grown children, Caleb and Sara.

I am originally from Gastonia, North Carolina and fortunate that God has kept me around the area; I love Gastonia.  After graduating from Belmont Abbey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a focus on Economics and Business, I entered Corporate America.  I have work for over 30 years in the public sector for multiple companies.  Over 25 of those years have been in a leadership position where my primary goal was to mentor and grow my employees and those around me.

I also have a Masters Degree from Liberty University in Pastoral Counseling with an emphasis on Life Coaching (focus on individual, marriage, leadership and business coaching).  I currently lead the men’s ministry at City Church (in Gastonia) where I have the great opportunity to work with men that are struggling in life or just need that extra bit of motivation.  I have had the pleasure to see God work in these men’s life to improve their quiet time with Him, strengthen their marriage, reengage with their children and just regain the excitement to follow Christ.

When I am not working, I am an avid hiker.  I find that quiet time alone in the woods on a nice trail is my perfect spot to talk to God.  I also enjoy multiple types of fitness, Liberty Flames football and my newfound passion – roasting coffee.
